If this isn’t your first application to be rejected, or you’ve previously re-applied, you can try again after a 90-day period. All YPP applications are serviced in the order they’re received by us.
Creator & Artist on the Rise
If you’re not eligible yet, select Get notified in the Earn area of YouTube Studio. We’ve expanded the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) to more creators with earlier access to fan funding and Shopping features. Celebrating can also help creators and artists find their fans. We want to share some of those creators and artists with the world to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of YouTube.
If I meet the threshold, do I automatically get into YPP?
After choosing how you want to monetize, you’ll be able to manage ad preferences, turn on monetization for your uploads, and more. To turn on monetization features, you’ll need to review and accept the relevant module terms. We’ll get back to you with a decision once your channel is reviewed (typically in about 1 month). Once you accept YPP terms and link an active AdSense for YouTube account, your channel will automatically be put in a review queue. Use the YouTube Studio dashboard to get an overview of your channel analytics, comments and more. To manage a specific video, visit the Content page and click the video’s thumbnail. If you’re having problems playing your YouTube video, try these troubleshooting steps to solve your issue.
Keep in mind delays are possible due to higher-than-usual application volumes, system issues, or resource limitations. Check back in the Earn section of YouTube Studio anytime to see the status of your application. Once done, you’ll see In Progress in the Get Reviewed step, which means we have your application! You’ll get an email once you’ve met either of the below eligibility thresholds. If you’d like us to notify you when you’re eligible, select Get notified in the Earn area of YouTube Studio.
Troubleshoot YouTube video errors
If it meets our policies and guidelines, we’ll accept your channel into YPP. These thresholds help us make a more informed decision about whether your channel meets our policies and guidelines. If you do not currently meet the higher eligibility criteria of YPP you may still see ads being served on your content.
If you’re a researcher trying to access YouTube data for your academic research, you can apply to YouTube’s researcher programme. If you get an error message while watching a video, you can try these possible solutions. In this case, you are not yet eligible to receive a share of the revenue. Current members of the program won’t be removed when receiving Community Guidelines strikes. You can also apply after you’ve successfully appealed to have your Community Guidelines strikes removed. What if I don’t meet the program threshold?
The YouTube Partner Program (YPP) gives creators greater access to YouTube resources and monetization features, and access to our Creator Support teams. Stay active to keep making money
Channels will lose monetization when they violate any of the YouTube channel monetization policies. According to our Terms of Service, YouTube retains the right to serve ads on all content on the platform. If a channel is inactive and has not uploaded or posted posts for 6 months or more, YouTube reserves the right to remove its monetization. Note that a channel needs to complete all the YPP signup steps (which currently include signing the contract and associating an AdSense for YouTube account) before they will be reviewed.
If you’ve met the threshold and applied for YPP, we’ll still review your channel for YPP suitability. Your channel also must not have any active Community Guidelines strikes in order to apply. Every channel that meets the threshold will go through a standard review process. If you have active Community Guidelines strikes on your channel, you can apply after your strikes expire. As the YouTube Partner Program continues to grow, it’s important to maintain a healthy, active ecosystem of channels.
